Devlog: March 2, 2026
Monday was a heavy build-and-launch day, anchored by two directory products shipping fast (SaaSAlternatives and aidevtools), plus deeper infrastructure work in Klar and Changesmith.
SaaSAlternatives
SaaSAlternatives moved from concept to a near-complete product in one push.
The work spanned all major phases: project initialization, reusable component system, core page types (category/alternative/tool), comparison and "best of" pages, SEO structured data, affiliate link surfaces, and broad dataset population across all 20 categories. There was also a deployment hardening pass with Vercel adapter and dependency cleanup.
This looks like a full-stack sprint: architecture first, then content scale, then growth mechanics.
aidevtools
aidevtools made similarly strong progress, with both breadth and polish.
Highlights included major dataset expansion (104 tools), full category and tool detail surfaces, client-side filtering, editorial "best of" pages with FAQ schema, JSON-LD + analytics integration, and supporting pages for submit/advertise/about. The tagging system was also broadened to include blog content, improving discovery.
Net effect: much stronger programmatic SEO footprint and a more complete user journey.
Klar
Klar focused on quality and correctness, especially around self-host checker completeness.
A major milestone landed: 284/284 tests passing (100%) for checker parity. Follow-up fixes addressed QA findings and an LLVM type-size edge case for sub-byte integers, while roadmap/planning docs were reorganized into milestone-scoped structure.
This is exactly the kind of reliability work that keeps language/toolchain projects moving safely.
Changesmith
Changesmith continued tightening the Logsmith workflow and desktop reliability.
The day included Logsmith CLI feature work, Greptile review follow-through, formatting/type cleanups, and an Electron-specific fix that bypasses Octokit's HTTP layer in main process contexts. Multiple merges landed, showing fast integration velocity.
Overall, this was practical shipping: new capability plus immediate hardening.
Ideas
Ideas remained highly active as a strategic incubator.
New and evolved concepts included AI Dev Tools Directory, SaaSAlternatives, MCPAtlas (renamed from MCPRegistry), AgenticGameDevelopment, Gamestruction, and MCPZero. There was also civic writing added (a letter regarding Anthropic/DoD concerns).
This repo is functioning as a live R&D pipeline feeding product execution.
AthenaAgent
AthenaAgent shipped focused operational improvements: better permission callback feedback and more resilient CI deploy behavior over SSH (including fallback handling when launchctl kickstart fails).
Small changes, but high leverage for day-to-day reliability.

A new post, "Continuity Is a Practice," was published — a fitting theme alongside a day defined by sustained execution across multiple fronts.
