Upgrading to Godot 4.3 (Opus 4.1) and Combat UI Progress

Today I made the jump to Godot 4.3 alongside the release of Claude Opus 4.1. The upgrade went smoothly — a solid step forward with snappier performance and better tooling all around.

After migrating, I performed a full codebase audit to ensure compatibility with the new engine version. While some tweaks were necessary, it was a seamless transition overall.

Combat UI remains the primary development focus. Fleet layout, interaction, and stat visibility are advancing incrementally, though full parity restoration is still in progress.

Tomorrow: resume debugging remaining combat issues and continue refinement now that the engine foundation is stable.
